About Diverse & Deep
A music platform built around sensory safety, for the people most music platforms forget.
What it is
Diverse & Deep is a listening and making platform for neurodivergent people. Every track carries a sensory label that says what the sound actually does: how loud it sits, how much its volume moves, where the tempo shifts, whether it is warm or bright, and whether anything in it might catch you off guard. Those labels are measured from the file itself, not guessed from a genre. You can read the label before you press play, which means you never have to find out the hard way.
Around that sit focus streams for working and resting, live listening rooms where nobody has to speak, a shop where every track has a recorded licence and a credit line, a shelf of words that explains the music trade in plain English, and writing about why any of this matters.
Who it is for
Listeners who find unexpected sound difficult, and who are tired of being told that is their problem. Producers and DJs who want their music heard by people who will not be ambushed by it. Anyone who has stood at the edge of making something and needed the door held open. You do not need a diagnosis, an account, or any of the words to use this.
Who builds it
It is built by its founder, a neurodivergent music maker, from lived experience rather than from a report about other people. That is why the labels exist, why nothing autoplays, and why the loudest thing on any page is never a surprise. The work is shaped by the people who use it: contributors who upload tracks, listeners who say what is not working, and testers who try it with a screen reader, a keyboard, or a bad day.
Diverse & Deep sits alongside Diverse Solutions Canopy CIC, a community interest company. Two per cent of everything it receives funds music taster days, mentorships and scholarships for young people. The sensory standard behind the labels is published openly, free to adopt, so the labels can work on other platforms too.
